We welcome you to our web site in hopes that if you are not yet a member of our Party, that you will discover something in your search that will inspire a desire to be part of a Progressive and Grass Roots organization that acts on the principles of equality across all people, individual liberty, belief in a transparent democracy, and the value of public service.

All registered Democrats who reside in Broomfield County are considered bona fide members of the Democratic Party of Broomfield.

GOV. RITTER IN BROOMFIELD - SATURDAY - MAY 2

Gov. Bill Ritter will sign HB 1059, sponsored by Rep. Primavera, with Mayor Pat Quinn also in attendance. The bill requires health insurance companies to continue to cover patients for their basic care if they choose also to undergo experimental treatment. Ritter and Primavera will discuss the legislative session with audience Q & A included.

Starts at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, May 2nd, in the City Council Chambers at 1 Des Combes Drive. Everyone welcome. Also posted on the calendar at this site.

 
OBAMA - NEEDS YOUR VOTE TODAY

MSNBC is taking a poll asking what grade you give Obama for his first 100 days. You can do to their web site and cast your vote. The word is that the neo-cons are stuffing the ballot box with 'F' grades. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/29493093/

CNN is also polling and will report their results on April 29th.

 
Organization Meeting Elects New Officers

Forty people attended the Organization Meeting on 2/7, a Second Vice Chair position was added, Officers were elected, as were Ward Captains, Ward Co-Captains, Ward Finance Chairs, State Central Committee Bonus Members, in addition to the CD2 Central Committee Bonus Members.

The elected officers and Ward leaders are listed, along with contact information, under the About Us-Party Officers menu on the top of this page.
 
Rep. Primavera Wins a Health Advocacy Award

REP. DIANNE PRIMAVERA recently received the 2009 LEGISLATOR COMMUNITY HEALTH AWARD from the Colorado Community Health Network [CCHN]. This is an annual award recognizing advocates for Colorado's medically underserved. Our congratulations to one of our own.
